Believe the reviews Dacor Epicure ERD30 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

Dacor Epicure ERD30 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

After a horrendous experience with my Viking dual fuel (the oven temperature sensors were replaced three times to no avail), my appliance store took it back and gave me a store credit. Forced to buy what they stocked, I went for another top-of-the-line stove, Dacor. Would that I had read these reviews first. Would I have believed them, especially chunkygeek’s huffy, bordering on rude, review? Probably not. In that case, chunkygeek, I would have been your perfect idiot.

Efficient, No Frills, Single Room Heater Honeywell International HZ315 QuickHeat Ceramic Electric Compact Heater

Honeywell International HZ315 QuickHeat Ceramic Electric Compact Heater

The Honeywell HZ-315 is a no-frills single room ceramic heater with a clean and simple design. The unit displays a power on light and a single control knob for turning the fan ON and setting the desired temperature.

I work from a smaller office, about 12 ft by 14 ft where the primary building heat source is a heat pump. In the winter, I use the Honeywell HZ-315 to heat only the space in use at the time. Despite the HZ-315’s relatively small size, it quickly heats my office from barely tolerable to quite comfortable (and more) in a reasonably short time, raising my office temperature from 64 degrees to 68 degrees in about 20 minutes.

Great value, huge oven Bosch HDS7282U Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

Bosch HDS7282U Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

Based on a glowing review in Fine Cooking magazine, I bought a Bosch range for my new kitchen three years ago. I loved the oven, but was frustrated by the varying sizes of the burners. Personally, I find a simmer burner to be a waste of time, and a 9,100 BTU burner isn’t much better. I was constantly moving my food around on the burners to get the higher flames, not the safest thing in the world. I have to admit that I am a professional cook, so I am used to high BTUs, and wish more midrange stoves had this feature.

Good Enough for Two Yellow Labs Bissell Upright Vacuum The Pet Hair Eraser 1 ea Vacuum

Bissell Upright Vacuum - The Pet Hair Eraser 1 ea Vacuum

Having two yellow labs in our house gives us more than our fair share of dog hair. It’s in the couch, on the stairs, in the rug, under the tables….just everywhere. Prior to buying this vacuum, we had a basic Oreck that seemed to do the job fairly well, but it was getting old and it wasn’t as powerful as this model.

We purchased the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser at Lowe’s for $149.99, after being convinced by the salesperson that it would indeed do the trick for all the pet hair in the house.

The No Spin Zone of Washers Whirlpool Ultimate Care II GSQ9669L Top Load Washer

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II GSQ9669L Top Load Washer

This machine was priced in the low to low-mid range at around 400.00. It’s a nice washer to look at, and it contains a fairly ample wash tub, but this is where the positive features end.

The machine has the standard options for warm wash, hot wash and cold wash, and inside the lid are color-coded pictorials suggesting which temps and which settings are best for various types of clothing. There is a fabric-softener dispenser in the center of the tub.

The BEST I’ve ever owned! Bissell 5770 Healthy Home Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Bissell 5770 Healthy Home Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

This machine is everything it says. I researched epinions before deciding to purchase this particular model. I originally hesitated due to the amount of advertizing they do for this, I thought it was overpriced. However, after reviewing epionions, the biggest complaint I heard was the weight & that it was a bit too POWERFUL. Can that be a negative? Not in my books!

My newest love!! Brother CE 5000PRW

Brother CE-5000PRW

Let me start by saying I have owned a basic brother machine for 5 years and it’s never really done a good job. I struggled a lot with tension and knotting, etc. I sucked it up because it was a gift from my husband. It replaced a 1900’s singer, the old black and gold kind, that I got at an auction for $9 and used for years. It still worked when I replaced it and it weighed 1.5 tons because it was built into the cabinet. Anyhoooooo, the old singer would power through anything and my little brother just didn’t have the power or the skill. It had more features, but that’s it.
