I purchased this vacuum cleaner about 2 years ago after my Hoover had finally gave out and I needed a better vacuum to clean with. I trusted the Dirt Devil brand after owning their hand held vacuum in college. Yet this bagless upright isnt really worth the money because you would have to spend money on replacement filters and a rotator brush belt and the belt snapped through normal wear after it snagged on some string hanging off a rug. It’s also crappy at suction power because my Hoover got some serious suction before it wore out. This is a vacuum for someone in a studio or one bedroom apartment since it’s practical with a colapsable handle and it only comes with two cleaning attachments a brush and the end that cleans hard to reach places. My Hoover came with those two attachments plus a a corner cleaner. This may sound like a practical piece of machinery when it’s actually a waste of money to buy. It would be feasible to just look at the other vacuums that are out there with better ability to clean and the kind of attachments it comes with. The noise is a bit much because it sounds like screaming which is kind of annoying. It would have made sense for Dirt Devil to create lines of vacuums that does not have such a loud motor. The motor gets hot quickly and you have to watch that because of stuff getting caught in the mechanism that helps rotate the brush. It doesnt clean as well as it claims and after having it for some time it all became too obvious that it was in fact a piece of crap and not worth the money paid for.
