Green Clean Machine..Leaves air clean and fresh Rainbow Technologies E series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum There are so many great reviews here, I'll try to add something different. ...

I am a nurse–RN. I believe in the health effects of the Rainbow. The Rainbow vacuum canister is an aircleaner/airfilter. It can sit in a corner of my house (without any attachments) and filter the air in my home. I can run it at high speed for one hour and clean 2800 square feet of air. It takes 99.9% of the pollens, dander, strep, staph, etc out of the air. High speed is quite noisy, so I add the deodorizer/sanitizer, turn it on, and leave the house to run an errand, come back in an hour and the house smells great. I can run it on low speed (very quiet) for 4 hours and get the same results. It can be kept on low speed for several hours every day, if I want windows and doors open, but want to keep the pollens, dirt, dander, germs out of our air. I move it upstairs once a week to freshen and clean the air more directly on that level. Same with the basement.
The human eye can see only 1% of the dust that is in the air, so if I can see dust in a sunbeam, I cannot imagine how much junk is really in the air that is too microscopic to see. And my family was breathing all of that into their lungs.
The 3 MAIN reasons I wanted the rainbow, though, is because (1) I will never again have to buy filters, bags, glade scents, candles or any of that stuff (i was spending about 10 bucks a month on that stuff which adds up to $1200 over 10 years and the Rainbow has a 20 yr warranty) (2) Our air is cleaned and disinfected and can help with all of our household surfaces and (3) I have never experienced a vacuum that can clean like this machine. Try vacuuming your mattress once and see what you end up with in the water. Especially if the mattress is 5 years old or more. I was shocked! And most of that mud was dead skin cells and dust mites…ick ick ick.
It is expensive, that is for sure. But I believe it will pay for itself in less than 10 years and my family will be much healthier. Everything has a downfall or two. The Rainbow is fairly small and easy to use, but it is bulky if you have to go up and down stairs.
