Rainbow Technologies E series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum

My daughter had a Hoover vacuum that she had for a few years, a friend of hers referred her name to the Rainbow Sales Representative when she had her home demonstration, so my daughter agreed to having the representative come to her home to give his sales pitch for the Rainbow Series E S 12 Vacuum Cleaner. as a favor to her friend to get credit.

The outgoing young man who had come knocking at the door one Sunday morning focused on showing all that this machine can do. My son-in-law was so intrigued with all the features, that he didn’t care what the cost of this vacuum was he wanted one for his family. He made a Sale.

When asked if I had any questions after the demonstration…… My expression was “Oh My $2,200.00 does this come with a MAID?” I had to walk out of the room and gasp for air, as I mumbled … I found a great vacuum at the PX for Jim for just $45.00 that works GREAT .. Although, it doesn’t do all that this Rainbow vacuum does . Well he sold my son-in-law, so my opinion didn’t matter, I live with them and he overrules me…lol

Ask my daughter today and she will tell you this Rainbow Series E S 12 Vacuum is well worth the 2200.00 price tag. They financed it and pay $69.00 a month.

It’s a powerful vacuum, there is no doubt about it ! With a family of 8 with pets comes a lot of tracked in dirt. It not only vacuums, it works as a humidifier, air cleaner and a vaporizer or it will inflate toys, air mattresses etc.. With the coil tool that is included you can easily keep your appliances dust free too ! What amazes me the most is the fact that you can actually see the dirt lifting from your home each time you use it.

After a long cold winter comes Spring Cleaning time. The windows have been closed up for months, the heater has been working overtime to keep us warm, we can now open the windows and get fresh air into the house. Now that the windows are open, dust and pollen can easily find it way in through the screens, our dogs are shedding their winter coats and the kids come in and out from playing in the yard track all sorts of gunk when they don‘t remove their shoes. We didn’t realize until after the demonstration that we were in need of a vacuum that could keep up with the flow of traffic and suck the dirt and dust out of our life.

Having 4 children in the home especially one who is just becoming mobile, we can’t take the chance of any type of particles left on the floor because she will find it and yep straight to the mouth it will go. Funny how she can find the smallest piece of lint or piece of paper and it is like a magnet to her tiny little fingers and of course, Brooklynn has to Taste everything she touches.

Bob couldn’t wait to sign the contract on the dotted line, once the Rainbow sales representative happily left him with his new vacuum, he couldn’t wait to run this vacuum throughout the entire house from top to bottom.

I have a wonderful S-I-L. He not only provides well for this family he doesn’t mind helping with the chores when he has the weekend off. Bob wanted to show his two older children how easy it is to use the Rainbow Series E vacuum and how to use it properly, so they can help Mom out with the upkeep of the house. ( Mom and Dad feel they are old enough to have a chore list and help around the house now).

It took him very little time to demonstrate what each tool was used for, how easy it is to interchange each piece and before I knew it he had them taking turns and it looked like they were enjoying themselves that they had asked to take it upstairs to vacuum their rooms. That is when I was “SOLD” on this magnificent machine.

Since they purchased this Rainbow Series E vacuum in April it has been used almost every other day sometimes twice in a day depending on our activities for the day.

Today, my two grandchildren ages 12 and 11 don’t mind when it is their turn to run the vacuum, they prefer that job over doing dishes. They can change the attachments to the accessories they need to completely vacuum whatever room is on their chore list for the day. We have a chart that we follow with the kids daily and everyone has a job to do.

Assembly is quite easy, even the children have no problem taking the water basin off by lifting the power unit off and fill it with the water to the designated fill line, set it back on the unit, lock into place and attach the power nozzle or the floor and wall brush, plug the cord into the wall socket and they are ready to get the job done.

You can clearly see how well it cleans. (even when the kids vacuum) The suction is very strong, that it picks up the smallest particles with one sweep. We have an area rug in the living room that after the power nozzle had been used to vacuum we can lift the rug and not see a particle of dust or dirt along the edges or underneath.

You can change the height on the power nozzle to go from bare floor to carpet simply by pushing the dial with your thumb located on the top of the nozzle unit.

The Rainbow Series E is a canister style vacuum securely locks into place on top of the dolly . The dolly has 4 caster style wheels that turn and roll smoothly on most surfaces. We have hardwood floors with area rugs in the living room which makes this roll even easier. Upstairs is all carpeted and this vacuum moves freely from room to room and throughout the carpeting in the hallway. We have never had a problem with the canister tipping over when vacuuming.

The canister consists of the motor and a water basin, which is where all the dirt and debris is sucked into. There is a 25 ft power cord attached to the back of the power unit that wraps around the back of the canister which holds it in place when stored by sliding the holders out and wrapping it around neatly.

The Attachments that came with the Series E

The Power Nozzle is used for all your general cleaning needs for bare floors and carpeted areas.

The Power nozzle is stationary and is connected to a steel wand. It can lock into an upright position for storing, When in use the handle easily folds down to reach under furniture, or at an angle to vacuum comfortable standing. A power cord is secured by a plastic piece that runs from the power nozzle up the wand to the tip of the power nozzle handle that controls the brushes. Besides the 4 ft wand it has a 6 ft electrified hose that attaches directly into the canister. This gives you a 10 ft stretch from the canister.

The Floor and Wall Brush is perfect for our hardwood floors and tiled floors in the kitchen, bathroom and our paneled walls. The steel wand for the accessory tools is separate from the steel wand for the power nozzle. This wand measures 4 ft also but comes in 3 pieces that snap into place and attaches to a Series E 6 1/2 ft hose. It is nice that you can extend the wand to 4 ft for hard to reach places or you can shorten the steel wand by removing any of the pieces to fit your cleaning needs. I also like that you can attach the tool caddy directly to the wand and have the other cleaning tools on hand as you move about the room.

The Dusting Brush is ideal for all your dusting needs that attaches to the steel wand by snapping it on the end of the wand and locking it into place. You will find a air flow sleeve on the wand that allows you to regulate how much suction by turning the sleeve to open or close the hole in the wand. This is great for dusting knick knacks and such, if you can get your pet to sit still long enough to dust the dander off of them, you can adjust the air flow to a gentle suction. My dogs run when they see the dusting attachment go on, I vacuumed them once and that was it for that idea.

The Upholstery Tool is another useful tool for our household. Great way to get the carpeted stairways clean. We do have to remove the power unit from the dolly for this chore, without the dolly, the unit itself is not that heavy and can easily be carried with the handle, we set it at the top of the stairs and work our way down, then as we get to the middle of the stairs we can set it on the floor, the extra long wand and 6/12 ft hose works perfectly for our stairway. I use the Upholstery tool for furniture, cleaning the cloth seats in the vehicle along with the crevice tool. I got my Son’s Truck in tip top shape for when he is due home for his R n R. I was very pleased with the way it sucked all the debris, dirt, cigarette ashes and even gave it a blast of fragrance. With help from my S-I-L his truck looks as if we paid someone to have it detailed, seriously!

The Crevice Tool for all those hard to reach places, corners, baseboards and so much more, this tool fits nicely on the caddy when not in use, but also when in use you pull out the extension and lock it into place for that added reach. Ideal for corners and ceilings. I can attack any spider web that tries to nest in the corners of the bay window using this tool.

The Inflator/Coil Cleaner Extension Tool is for inflating and cleaning the coils on your appliances. We really haven’t used the inflator tool as of yet, but we have cleaned the coils on the back of the refrigerator and cleaned under the deep freezer , behind the gas stove where dust has accumulated all winter long, also great for reaching the top of the cabinets for dust and spider webs.

The air flow adapter is designed to control the air noise through the air inlet. I haven’t really used this tool to give any details. It is basically recommended for when you use the Coil cleaner extension as a blower

When you visually see all the dirt you have picked up it gives you a sigh of relief knowing your family can breathe easier in a clean and dust free home.

Seeing the kids operate it is a PLUS in my book. Seeing all the dirt in the water basin after they are finished cleaning is a bigger plus. Having beige area rugs in the living room with this many people living in the house and seeing the brightly colored beige rug clean is a major plus.

In the back room where Weena sleeps at night, she is our long haired Shepard, who stays outdoors all day and comes in at night to sleep on her bedding. This room gets a lot of traffic during the day also because it leads to the backyard, so between the dog hair that she sheds and the mud and dirt particles from the backyard and working in the garden, you can imagine what gets into the indoor/outdoor carpeting in that room.

My grandson was in a hurry the one day it was his turn to clean the backroom, he DIDN’T empty the water basin before he put it away and we can all tell you, the next time they went to get the vacuum out to run. It was horrible, an absolutely horrible stench between the pet dander and hairs he sucked up and the mixture of the mud and manure that we tracked in from our shoes from working in the garden. Before you put it away it is necessary to empty the water basin and rinse it out clean…..this will never happen again. We were gagging from the stench and to think that was in the carpet before he vacuumed. My daughter had to wash the basin out with bleach water to rid the smell and then she used the drops of the deodorant drops she had gotten as a free gift to help purify the air.

They claim the suction on this model is as powerful as a hurricane according to the representative, which I can agree with. I see how easy it picks things up how clean the areas look. Pet hairs especially lift off the carpet with such ease.

One feature is on the wand of the attachments you can adjust the suction power by twisting the adapter sleeve on the wand by opening or closing it. Open it completely for a lesser air flow which works great for vacuuming blinds, draperies and dusting your electronics. You can easily dust the keyboard of your computer, dust knick knacks, your dog for pet dander ( Sable runs now when the vacuum comes out ) she wasn’t to keen on getting her coat vacuumed, I think it was the sound more than the suction because we had it opened for a light suction, it worked great on all those little white dander particles on her black shinny coat.

This machine is not just for vacuuming. It can pick up wet spills too, but we haven’t used it as of yet.

Run it on a Low speed as an air cleaner . This feature in itself was a selling point for my son-in-law. My daughter suffers from allergies and she has claimed since we run the rainbow in the air cleaner mode she has NOT suffered as she had in the past. Just run the Rainbow in any room for at least an hour without any attachments and it takes the dust from the air, again amazingly you can visually see it as it enters the water basin. This makes you take a deep breathe and a sigh of relief when you think about if you hadn’t ran it, all those dust particles would of found their way into your family’s lungs.

The Rainbow Series E s12 also runs like a humidifier, a deodorizer and a vaporizer.

To deodorize you can add a few drops of Rainbow fragrance deodorant air fresheners. As a Gift for giving the representative a name for a home demonstration she received a box of 1.67 Fl oz bottles, which included apple blossom, eucalyptus, pine and spice, or you can add your favorite aromatherapy drops in the water basin. This give your home a fresh scent and takes away any strong odors. Especially cigarette smoke or fried foods.

To Vaporize just add a few drops of the inhalant, run it without the attachments and breathe in deeply as you would a vaporizer.

They also included an Areo Fresh Bag with this package. The Bag measures 38 inches across and 53 inches long it is large enough for most cushions, pillows and the baby’s bedding. All you have to do is insert the bedding in and attach the Upholstery tool to the wand and insert it into the bag to suck all the dust from these articles.

The Rainbow Series E runs quieter than any other vacuum cleaner I have ever owned because it has a Hepa Neutralizer built in that filters out the sound of the motor, as well as the debris that by passes the water wash system.

With this machine came a complete easy to read manual for operation and care of the Rainbow Vacuum to provide the owner with helpful tips on household cleaning and maintaining your vacuum, or to help with any troubleshooting.

For any additional information or if you are interested in purchasing a Rainbow Series E Vacuum system you can contact the REXAIR Inc. at www.Rainbowsystem.com to request a home demonstration in your area.

Do I highly recommend this Rainbow Series E Vacuum System Absolutely, after just 3 months this vacuum cleaner has worked overtime in our home and has proven that you DO GET What you pay for. This is a 5 Star product in my eyes and my nose tells me too when I breathe in “Clean” air !
