This is the best washer %26amp; dryer set I have ever owned! Yes, it is expensive but I have no regrets. LG and Korean manufacturers are really giving the Japanese and other asian mfg’s a run for their money these days! LG (Lucky Goldstar or Life’s Good) has come a long way since its bargain Goldstar days.

Even after a year of owning my candy apple LG washer/dryer set, I am still in love with them as if I just bought them yesterday. The PLC (powerline communication) modem/monitor accessory is a God send. Yes, you hook up a LG PLC modem to the back the washer and in combination with the PLC monitor no need to run to the basement to see if the cycle is finished. Just plug the PLC monitor in any outlet in your home and monitor how many minutes are left in a cycle.

Water comsumption is low and clothes come out absolutely spotless and practically dry after the final spin cycle. I still can’t believe how well it washes and how clean my clothes are!!! For undergarments, socks and towels the sanitary cycle can’t be beat! After you experience clothes that have been washed in this unit, you’ll realize that your clothes were never really clean prior to owning it.

On occassion I use the delayed start function. Load up the washer iwith detergent, softener, and/or bleach in the morning before heading off to work and set the delayed start for say 7 or 8 hours. The machine will start prior to you getting home from work and your wash cycle will be finished when you get home. Just unload the washer put your load in the dryer. I love this function.

The washer has a bad rap. Many say that it smells moldly after a while! All the naysayers have one thing in common. THEY DID NOT READ THE MANUAL. Yes, the washer does smell bad BUT . . . . once again BUT . . . THIS CAN BE AVOIDED. Periodically you need to add bleach and RUN THE CLEAN CYCLE (please read your manual). This is just basic maintenance of the unit. Yes, all of you naysayers, there is a clean cycle which prevents moldy smells.

If you take care of your unit and read your manual you and your unit will have a blissful relationship. You will wonder how you could have ever lived without it! A little TLC and preventative care goes a long way with this unit.

Fall in love all over again my with your washer everyday! Go get an LG! and please read the manual.
