We’re going back to the basics. We’ve lugged around those heavy bagless vacuums long enough, constantly getting clogged. Took 3 men, two boys, and a big dog to move it around. And our little canister vac was fine when we had stairs, but the dang thing doesn’t work well for regular vacuuming. So, back to the bag. Of course, even bagged vacuums have changed. They hide the bag away now behind a solid plastic covering, but it’s still there. And sinfully easy to change. Not like that that darn canister, Shark, that takes an hour to change the bag or dumping that awful container on the bagless vac.
We went back to Dirt Devil because we have always been pleased with their products. This one comes with a full bag indicator so you know just when to change out the bags. The bags, by the way, run about a buck each and well worth it after emptying out that filthy dirt canister on our bagless vacuum. Dag, that was disgusting. Just flip the bag out of this baby and trash it. It also comes with HEPA filtration.

The thing I really like is the ease of use for this machine. It has swivel casters and weighs only 19 pounds, tricked out. The extra long cord means you can plug it in and reach almost everywhere with ease without having to unplug and move it. It does have a crevice wand, which we really need to get that pet hair along the baseboards. I haven’t tried the upholstery brush yet, but it looks fine. It also has a stair brush, which we thankfully no longer have the use for. It is an upright and there was some assembly required after taking it out of the carton. Three screws to secure the handle in place.
After just one vacuuming, the carpet already looked cleaner and felt softer under our feet. Continued use has even made it nicer. With our old bagless vacuum, it was so heavy and awkward for me to use, the cleaning was left to Diane. With this baby, I can fly through the house with no trouble at all.
Thanks,
Susi
