Prior to this, I owned an low-priced Whirlpool that gave me no problems and lasted years. We purchased this LG dishwasher for our new home in Feb. 2008. I immediately hated the way the racks load dishes, but that could just be my own personal opinion. I immediately found it was difficult to push the lower rack back in and noticed that a wheel was bent. I called the local authorized repair depot for service, and unlike other customers, found the service at Waterloo Appliances very good. They came within 2 days to look at it, but the rack had to be ordered and took about 3 weeks. I still hate the lower rack, you have to wiggle it a certain way to get it to roll back straight and it’s very frustrating. I also find with the door you can’t just push it in and walk again, you have to stop to apply pressure to the door to get it to click in right. Like someone else said, you have to use a rinse aid, something I have never had to do before. In late July, it started leaking from the bottom left. Again I received service within 2 days, the repairman immediately knew what the problem is b/c other LG dishwashers have the same problem. The drain pipe is not evaporating properly. He ordered the part, it will take 4 - 5 weeks to come from LG, in the meantime I have to put a bowl below to catch the drips. 2 days later, I noticed brown/yellow oily ooze coming from the bottom right on the floor. My husband took off the faceplate and it is coming from the back somewhere. I keep putting paper towels there to soak it up and replacing it every 2 hours or else it could ruin my cabinets. The service man has to come again this week. I have been lucky to have a good repair depot and service man, but I will never buy a LG appliance again and do not recommend it. Don’t do it!!!
