This is a great looking appliance that seemed to suite my needs as the new kitchen required a counter depth fridge in order to make the plan work. Since I was going with stainless I chose to buy a complete group of Jenn-Air products to avoid a mismatch. These have the towel bar style handles. When my appliances arrived I was unhappy to find that the handles on the refrigerator and microwave are straight while those on the range and dishwasher are curved. Even with the 4 appliance rebate I could have saved good money buying another brand dishwasher with no handle and partially avoided this problem.

The door shelves would hold a good deal more if they were only a fraction larger and better shaped. The other shelves have a nice sliding feature but it is unnecessary on this appliance since the shelves are so shallow. I have not found a way to configure the shelves so that the support for one does not interfere with items on the shelf below. I imagine this might be an issue for any counter depth refrigerator with a bottom freezer. The space is just too limited for the number of shelves.

My big complaint though is that there is no door alarm. This was a feature on most every other French door refrigerator that I saw on display and which I expected would be present on this one. Since the left door really requires a good push to close, the lack of this feature stands between this fridge and a better energy rating.

I like the bottom freezer as it makes things easier to find without removing all. There is no bending to search the veggie bin and you need not dig too deep to get to the rear of the shelves.
