I purchased this dryer to replace a 10 year old dryer that was making annoying squeaks during operation.

I was sold on the quality of the Miele brand.

I waited six weeks for the dryer to be delivered. I think this was due to a recall that I later received notification on, but when the technician came for the recall the dryer already had the recall upgrade.

I am disappointed with the Dryer but am awaiting service.

Apparently the microprocessor has shut down dryer power several times during drying due to sensing “low voltage” and has required waiting overnight for the dryer to reset and power to be available to the dryer. Miele says that this is because I live in the Northeast and the weather has been hot. Miele has schedule a tech to come out with a laptop to upgrade the “firmware.” The earliest appointment is 8 days from the date of the call.

I have not been pleased with the “wrinkle free” results of drying. When my dryer shut down I went to a laundrymat and got better results with permanent press. King size sheets with 5 standard pillow cases can be washed in one load but must be dried in two separate loads to avoid wrinkles.

Also, the only “timed dry” option is for 45 minutes. If you want less to get the clothes dry you must set another timer. Although the clothes on normal are not supposed to be 100% dry - sometimes I find that they need alittle more to be adequately dry and not damp.

I think perhaps the controlling board is off and as a result drying and power are not working correctly.

I read a lot about electronic problems with other brands, I am disappointed that these problems are occurring with Miele.
