I bought this grill for my husband for a present. I got the Sunbeam Grill Series 550 at Lowe’s for about $190.00. I chose this grill because it had the side burner. My husband wanted a side burner on the grill.

The grill had to be assembled before it could be used. My husband is an expert at putting anything together. I knew he would have no problem and he got it together in no time. There were several different pieces to put together. The grilling housing is made of cast aluminum. The legs are made of steel.

The side burner comes in very handy to do all the cooking on,
especially when we have company. He can cook a dish on the side while he cooks the meat on the grill. The burner is 21 inches long and about 11 inches wide. The side burner has a lid that opens and shuts. The side burner has a grid that can be removed for cleaning. This has turned out to be a very handy feature. There is a dial on the front of the side burner that can regulate the heat from low to high. This is a large grill for cooking a large amount of food.

The side table is on the right side of the grill it is 15 inches wide by 18 inches long. This is where we put the pan to put the chops, chicken, or steaks in when they are perfectly done. My husband does a great job, the meat comes out heavenly. It always has great flavor. There is a hole at the end of the table big enough to place my hand through so I can grab the grill to move it where I choose and the wheels make it very easy.

There is a front basket that we use to hold the brush for cleaning, and the spray for the grill. The basket is big enough that other items could be stored.

The grill lid is about 31 inches long. It has a handle that is attached to the lid, it is about 20 inches long. The inside of the grill consist of two rock grates, and heating distribution blocks and two cooking grids. There is a warming rack.

The grill runs on a gas L.P. cylinder. We always make sure the gas supply hose is at least a few inches from any hot surfaces. The gas seems to last a fairly long time. I think one cylinder cost about $23.00 and we get the cylinder at the grocery store.

The Sunbeam Grill Series 550 has 2 large 6 inch wheels on the left side. The right side has 2 inch small wheels. These wheels make this grill easy to move. The wheels have hub caps. I also like this feature in case I need to move the grill. The grill is held up by four legs. The bottom of the grill has a front panel.

The front has the control panel. On the control panel are two control knobs and the ignitor. The knobs are for the right and left burner in the grill. On the grill lid is a gauge that shows the level of heat or the temperature. This will tell the temperature the grill is cooking. What I really love is the heat is easy to control, and he can cook for a lot of people at one time.

The easiest way to clean this grill is after we are done cooking we close up the grill. Turn the grill on high and burn it all off,take the wire brush and use that to remove any excess food. The ceramic coated grates are easy to clean.

Overall, I have enjoyed this gill. It has given not only great food but many great memories. We have many good times to remember when using this grill. The Sunbeam Grill Series 550 does a great job.
