Bought this a month ago and have run several dozen loads.

No buyers remorse, but between the buy and the install I read a few complaints that beared out after I used the machine.

First, the machine, dropped into a space where another was built in, was nowhere near as quiet as in the store. I think this is partly due to the store, as theres more room for noise to disperse and probably more “white noise” in the background. Also, in the store you can install the machine “optimally”… so it makes sense what you hear in the store is the best case scenario. This machine is still half as loud as my old, crappy amana. You can stand next to it while running and not change the loudness of your voice. It isnt as silent in a “less than perfect” install, but thats not the makers fault.

Second, while the machine has done a FANTASTIC job of cleaning dishes, with only two rejected pans in a month (traces of dried on food thats notoriously hard to clean without scrubbing, my complaint is in the design of the silverware tray and the lack of racks that secure tupperware and other light items. Several reviews I’d read had the same complaints, and I’m afraid they are valid.

My suggestion is to keep or to acquire extra dishwasher racking. For ex, I kept the silverware rack out of my old crap machine and I use it all the time. It is limited in placement compared to the more moveable rach provided with the machine, but it is deeper. The manual suggests a few patterns of silverware storage in the machine that is just laughable. It isnt easily memorized. It isnt intuitive. It isnt realistic. Forget that. I just use my deeper silverware rack from my old machine and we get along just fine, even if the colors of the racking dont match.

Also, i was supremely annoyed at not having a good row to secure low profile light cups and bowls, being the father of a 4 year old. My solution? First I tried inverting one of the supplied racks that folded up to fold down. That way it would naturally apply pressure downward. It worked somewhat, but again, I found that using a piece from the old machine I was better able to set up a station for these light items that tend to flip in high water pressure.

This machine has cleaned really, really well. It seems to maintain the high water temp needed to clean well, even when I have my hot water temp lower due to a child in the house… and the fast wash has been a lifesaver after dinner parties. It is simply fast, efficient, and effective.

How the designers dropped the ball on the silverware tray and the lack of light item storage is beyond me… but I have absolutely no buyers remorse. My kitchen is much cleaner, much faster.

I would install it again… and I’d save my old racking and add ons from the old machine again for sure.
