I don’t know if I could lead a normal life without a Microwave, I use this little device practically everyday. Because I own an older home I haven’t redone the kitchen yet, so I needed to purchase a temporary microwave over. My parents have owned various sharp microwaves for many years and they operate without fail, so I figured that the R-230 was worth the shot. I found this Microwave at my local Target store for $89.00 and I that was a bargain in my mind. The model I purchased was white, but this microwave is also available in black, I didn’t get the black model because I don’t like the streaking that happens on black appliances.

Basically to review this microwave is easy, it heats the food and it heats it very well. At first I was surprised at just how fast and hot this microwave gets food, over cooking many dishes with the first few months of usage. This microwave is more powerful then your average microwave, so I recommend cooking TV dinners and microwaveable meals at slightly less time then the suggested directions.

The LCD screen is bright and easy to read, and the interior of the microwave is easy to clean. The Microwave has an internal light that operates when you open the door or when the microwave is in the process of cooking. The Microwave is made from a plastic material which is easy to clean using Windex or various cleaners. There are various remade options to choose from such as popcorn or defrost, you can also choose to boil water for tea or defrost a piece of meat by entering the exact LBS.

Overall, the Sharp R-230 is an awesome microwave over; with intuitive controls and a decent price this microwave is more then sufficient for a family.
