This machine is everything it says. I researched epinions before deciding to purchase this particular model. I originally hesitated due to the amount of advertizing they do for this, I thought it was overpriced. However, after reviewing epionions, the biggest complaint I heard was the weight & that it was a bit too POWERFUL. Can that be a negative? Not in my books!

This vacuum is awesome! Maybe that was too vague. Let me explain. My search for a new vacuum began when my son dropped our last one down the stairs. Funny how that can decrease the suctioning power of a vacuum. I highly don’t recommend it, especially when it happens just months after the warranty has expired.

I had been using my Hoover Windtunnel Bagless Upright for the last six years with excellent performance. The front wheel assembly broke on me twice due to an unevenness in my slate flooring downstairs, which is what finally prompted me to look into upgrading. My particular Hoover was the made in the USA model that came out prior to the overseas model. The motor worked flawlessly during the six years I owned it, even after getting caught up in some carpet fiber in my garage. I was always curious about the newer Dyson models and the advantages they offered, but the price wasn’t justifiable in my eyes. Fortunately for the consumer, patents expire, which led me to research some of the Dyson competitors at a more reasonable price point. . .

I got this vacuum cleaner at Best Buy over a year ago. First I’ll get into what is good.
The vacuum cleaner has powerful sucktion. It does a nice job on carpets and an okay job on bare floors. Also, when you extend the hose, the sucktion remains constant.
They are correct when they say the system is quiet. In fact it is one of the quietest vacuums I’ve ever seen.
It’s nice that you don’t have to buy bags or belts.
The tools that come with the vacuum are of good build quality. In particular, I like the extension wond.

I’m one of those people who likes to thoroughly research major purchases. Since you are reading this, I would say that would describe you as well. Anyway, vacuum cleaners (or at least GOOD vacuum cleaners) are major purchases. If you are looking at the Bissell 5770, then you probably have looked at more expensive alternatives like the Dyson models. Well, this Bissell is a much better purchase than any of those Dyson’s.
