We seem to go through vacuums pretty quickly. Among other things, we have a black Lab which seems to shed 365 days a year.

Our old vacuum didn’t seem to be working, so we went to Walmart and saw this BISSILL POWERFORCE Vacuum. It was reasonably priced, so we decided to try it.

When we vacuumed over the same areas which we had previously vacuumed, we could not believe how much dog hair and other filth was picked up by this Bissill. An area we thought was clean filled the entire removable bagless cup several times over. It was disgusting. We sometimes would lay on that same carpeting!

This past April, my family and I moved into a larger house. After vacuuming my new house just one time with my old vacuum (the Dirt Devil M084600 Dynamite Bagless Upright Vacuum, you can read my review here: http://www.epinions.com/content_412031618692), I decided that it was time to break down and get a newer, better, vacuum cleaner.

This time, I decided to pay very close attention to the features of the new vacuum: I had to have attachments (my old vacuum did not; had I noticed that at the store, I wouldn’t have purchased it). I also wanted something that could easily be used on anything from bare floors to thick rugs.

About six months ago, I burned up my old Fantom vacuum and was in desperate need of a new vacuum. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money because we are slowly changing out the carpet and I wanted to get a good vacuum for the new carpet.

I was in Wal-Mart shopping and decided to have a look at what kind of vacuums they had and to see if there were any that I wouldn’t mind purchasing. I came across the Bissell 6596 Bagless Upright Vacuum. I thought I would give this a try. The vacuum was a reasonable price, around $60.00 and it was bagless so that meant that I wouldn’t have to keep shelling out money for bags or be out of bags when it comes time to clean the house.
