I was (and still am!) looking for an upright vacuum that was great on carpet and bare floors. I have mostly carpet, but with the kitchen being the largest room in the house I tend to take the lazy way out and vacuum the kitchen. Oh, did I mention affordable…yup, I just filled my oil tank…I need cheap!

What’s the big deal about vacuums? So many models from which to choose. And the prices! Why, I wondered, should I spend hundreds when I can get a Hoover Tempo Widepath for $69 at Best Buy? Considering the number of reviews this model has already received here, it seems like a pretty popular vacuum that does a decent job – provided you don’t ask too much of it.
