We were deciding between the $1500 Profile Double Oven, and this oven. But since we could not afford $1500 to get the double oven features, I settled for a basic, it cooks well, oven. At $350 I am very happy with this oven. It cooks well, and it having the Sabbat features was an unexpected added bonus.

After a horrendous experience with my Viking dual fuel (the oven temperature sensors were replaced three times to no avail), my appliance store took it back and gave me a store credit. Forced to buy what they stocked, I went for another top-of-the-line stove, Dacor. Would that I had read these reviews first. Would I have believed them, especially chunkygeek’s huffy, bordering on rude, review? Probably not. In that case, chunkygeek, I would have been your perfect idiot.

Based on a glowing review in Fine Cooking magazine, I bought a Bosch range for my new kitchen three years ago. I loved the oven, but was frustrated by the varying sizes of the burners. Personally, I find a simmer burner to be a waste of time, and a 9,100 BTU burner isn’t much better. I was constantly moving my food around on the burners to get the higher flames, not the safest thing in the world. I have to admit that I am a professional cook, so I am used to high BTUs, and wish more midrange stoves had this feature.

We bought this range after reading good things about Bosch appliances in reviews, and after having good experiences with other Bosch products. It has the features we wanted for a reasonable cost. We bought a dishwasher and range hood at the same time, both of which work well and have had no problems.

The range is a well-designed product that has an excellent gas top and an electric oven, and the product functions very well. We like the dual fuel and there is no problem with compatibility. The warmer works well and the ease in cleaning is very good for a gas range. The grills remove easily and the controls are very clear, although there is a bit of a learning curve for the oven controls, which are not as intuitive as we would have liked.

I bought the Kitchenaid KDRS807 range to match my KitchenAid refrigerator and dishwasher. I have had very few problems, but there is one thing that concerns me.

The burners are regular and even; with the double burner I sometimes get a flickering sound when the Power Burner is set to low, but the fire itself does not flicker. All other burners work perfectly. The convection oven provides even heat both on convection and on regular heat. The Bread Proof cycle is convenient and useful.

I love this range. Heavy duty grates are awesome. Great flexibility with 4 different BTUs on the burners. But the oven is the thing that sets this apart. Convection settings will roast and bake everything perfectly. I saved 2 hours on a 22lb turkey at Christmas. Cookies come out perfect. Has 3 racks in oven and with the convection you can actually use all 3 without a bunch of rearranging half way through the cooking time. Everything comes out better because you’re not losing all your heat opening the door to rearrange. I made 3 pizzas at once and they all came out perfect.

I purchased the GE Adora JGP87SEMSS Stainless Steel Gas Range at the Home Depot in June of 2008 for $1249. I’d never had a gas stove before, but my husband insisted it was the way to go since we had the option. After 2 months of using the GE Adora JGP87SEMSS Stainless Steel Gas Range - I’m a true believer in gas being far superior to electric.

We had the same problems many described here with the knobs. All you had to do was brush against the stove and the burner turned on - unbeknownst to you. This was an extreme safety hazard with a toddler in the house, and we communicated with KitchenAid, and I give them full credit for their IMMEDIATE attention and full repair, including repairing the stovetop that was damaged when a plastic part melted on it due to this problem.
