The apartment I’m renting included this nice refrigerator by Frigidaire. It looks nice and has performed flawlessly for six months. Take a look at the details:

The Frigidaire FRT18S6AW Top Freezer Refrigerator doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles, but it certainly includes most of the basic features you’d want in a relatively inexpensive refrigerator.

This fridge measures 65 1/8″ high, 29 5/8″ wide, and 29 7/8″ deep. It’s 18.2 cubic feet, with 14.13 c.f. for fresh food, and 4.07 c.f. in the freezer section.

I’ve had this little fridge in my office for about 9 months now and I love it. It is small enough to be tucked away underneath my desk, but large enough to fit several drinks and whatever I’ve brought for lunch. It is also nice and quiet, which is important since it’s in my office.

The Specs

This is a very compact 1.7 Cubic Foot refrigerator that measures 17.3”w X 20.1”h X 17.8”d and weighs about 40lbs. There is a very small freezer area in this fridge that is approximately 6”w X 4”h X 11”d. It also has a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty.

WOW. Never again will I shop at Sears or buy Kenmore products. I DID research these products and everyone told me how the ice machine is horrible… well, they were all right. the ice machine was either broken from the get-go, OR the ice does not get a chance to build up to shut the arm off, hence the ice maker does not shut off. THEN, when you open the freezer drawer all of the ice falls into the freezer area.

In 1916 Alfred Mellowes and a dedicated group of backers had established the Guardian Refrigerator Company. Mellowes had established himself as the developer of the first true refrigerator, a development that met with the consternation of the ice man but welcomed with opened arms worldwide by relieved housewives. The company was mismanaged and in just two years could not deliver a cost effective manufacturing process and were soon in the red.

We decided to buy a new refrigerator rather than move our old one to our new house. We went to Home Depot and to Lowe’s twice before making up our mind. We paid $899.00 for our refrigerator. We decided on the Hotpoint Refrigerator from Home Depot.

We ordered our refrigerator and a week latter it was delivered. We had to order so I could get it in white. The one we ordered was a (24.96 cu. ft.) Hotpoint Side by Side Refrigerator.

I purchased this refrigerator in fall of 2006. Although the layout is great and the ice maker does a great job, I have several complaints about it. First, the shelves and drawers are of rather flimsy construction, and would frequently jam when opening or closing unless you hold them with both hands and guide them deliberately and slowly. As a result of this the bottom crisper drawer glide broke off completely about a year after purchase.

In the category of design flaws, I find the ice dispenser unusually messy; it tends to send ice chips flying everywhere, and the ice often jams in the dispenser.

When my husband and I were in the market for a refrigerator for our new home, we had just a few requirements. It had to be EnergyStar rated and it had to be stainless steel. After a month of shopping around, we ended up purchasing the GE Adora DSHS5PGXSS Stainless Steel 25.4 cubic foot side-by-side refrigerator in June for $1599 at The Home Depot. So far, we’re very pleased with our decision.

The basic specs

As the name states, the GE Adora DSHS5PGXSS has 25.4 cubic feet of room. It measures 33.63 inches deep by 69.25 inches high by 35.75 inches wide. It weights 320 pounds.

I have had my new Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator with French Doors, for around a month and it is high time I did a review and display my regrets. My husband suggested this type of refrigerator with the doors, the water dispenser on the inside, the freezer in the draw in the bottom of the unit and an ice maker that simply drops the ice into an old ordinary ice box.

We really wanted the contemporary, sleek look of stainless but the delicate finish is not practical with kid in the house. Samsung’s metallic look is almost as attractive and much easier to keep looking clean, and considerably cheaper.

Besides a great look, the beast is quiet- very quiet for a refrigerator.

The digital display on the outside of the door is easy for controlling temperature, ice production, and a super freeze feature. We don’t use it, but the optional child lock would be great for keeping my teenage son from midnight raids.
