When our Kenmore dryer died on us after only 3 years I decided I needed to do some research before buying this time. We wanted the washer & dryer to match because they are on the main floor of our home so we bought this washer with the matching dryer. We are a family of six and I do about 10 - 15 loads of laundry a week. We bought this washing machine because it had good reviews.

This washer is as energy efficient as a front loader with a top load design. I am not sure if it cleans as well as my old top loader though. I think it’s because of the HE laundry soap and the small amount of water it uses. I have read that I can use regular soap and you can set the washer to put in a full tub of water. I think since I have been doing that the clothes are getting cleaner. I like that feature. On the front loaders you can’t choose how much water it uses.

The only way you can do a truly “hot” load is if you use the permanent press setting. If you look in the owners manual this is the way they recommend cleaning your washer w/out any clothes in it. If you have it on any other setting it will fill with hot water and then after a few minutes it will add cold water. This was very frustrating because I couldn’t do a load of whites in only hot water.

I do have a problem with it getting off balance. It is on a cement floor but the legs are not self leveling and because it spins at such a high rpm’s the legs must get out of adjustment after a while. We have had to level it 3 times since we bought it.
