We purchased this range less than 4 years ago.

We had the same problems many described here with the knobs. All you had to do was brush against the stove and the burner turned on - unbeknownst to you. This was an extreme safety hazard with a toddler in the house, and we communicated with KitchenAid, and I give them full credit for their IMMEDIATE attention and full repair, including repairing the stovetop that was damaged when a plastic part melted on it due to this problem.

The fan noise is also an issue described here that we have. It’s a nuisance. We live with it by leaving the oven door open a crack after cooking (only when no children are around!) to let it cool down faster.

Most recently, the control panel — whose cover by the way is sort of peeling off - crumbs and stuff stuck behind it, yuck — has gone awry, and shows “Err F2E0 Stuck Key”. Turning the range off and back on via circuit breaker did not work, we’re now waiting for the repairman to likely tell us we need to replace the control panel. This did happen before, temporarily, but the problem went away on its own.

Note that this is not a range that gets used all that often! We use the stovetop fairly regularly, not heavily, but I’m not a big user of the oven.

Despite KitchenAid’s help in the knob matter (I think they absolutely should have issued a recall on this, it’s a safety hazard and clearly tons of people had the problem. Or perhaps they did) I could never recommend this range.
